Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues (primarily muscle and connective tissue) of the body. It strives to achieve balance and health in the body by affecting the body's systems.

Practitioners relax, release stress, or gently tone muscle. Stretching can be used to enhance or maintain the work.

Many of the effects of different types of massage treatment approaches have been identified as effective in treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Massage can significantly accelerate the healing process by having a positive affect on the circulatory and lymphatic systems.

Prenatal massage is a specialized focus of massage therapy, sometimes with other added techniques, applied to treat pregnant women. This treatment can help treat the discomforts and stress of pregnancy, as well as maintain optimum health and muscle-tone throughout the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and nursing periods.

Lesley Paton graduated from the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in June of 2015 and registered with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC). Lesley wanted to get into massage since she was in high school, but she chose a different path and received a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan and a Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate from Camosun College in BC. After finishing her nursing school, she rediscovered her interest in massage and decided to give it a try. She loved it!

She looks forward to working with clients on an individual basis to understand what is causing their issues or pain in order to help them to begin healing. Lesley believes that even emotional pain can be helped with massage. She provides a quiet, safe environment for clients to relax and let go.

Currently, she offers therapeutic massage, relaxation, deep tissue and has advanced training in prenatal massage. She looks forward to learning new modalities as the opportunities present themselves.

Lesley offers Direct Billing with multiple companies.
